To do this each shopping cart is given a unique number, your browser is given this number when you first put a product into your cart. This number is what is contained in the cookie. Every time you add a product to your cart your browser will pass on the number of your cart to our computer, so that it can be added to your cart.
The number of your cart is totally random. It is also totally anonymous, i.e. there is no way to link the cart number to a person or even a computer. To see the contents of your cookie click here.
As soon as you close off your browser your cookie will disappear forever. The next time you add a product to your cart you will have a new and empty cart.
